Shivamogga
A BJP-linked advocate named Bharath has been arrested by the Bhadravathi Paper Town police in Shivamogga district over allegations of raping and blackmailing a married woman in Bhadravathi. The case was registered at Barandur in Bhadravathi taluk based on the woman’s complaint. Police said the accused was traced to a house in Bengaluru and taken into custody. He was later brought back to Shivamogga for further investigation. The arrest was made by PSI Kumar and police personnel Nagaraj and Basavaraj after receiving a tip-off. Authorities are continuing the investigation into the serious allegations and collecting further evidence in the case.
