Taluka Panchayat Executive Officer RV Doddamani visited Kadakola and Chhabbi villages on Tuesday to inspect ongoing community development works and interact with workers at the sites. During the visit, he reviewed the progress of projects being carried out under the rural employment scheme and gave important instructions to labourers and staff members.
Doddamani said senior citizens, pregnant women, and differently abled workers are given relaxation in work targets. However, he instructed all labourers to complete work according to measurements and mark attendance twice daily to receive wages. He warned that payment would not be provided to those failing to follow attendance rules properly.
He advised workers to take care of their health, begin duties early in the morning, complete assigned work on time, and return home after marking attendance. He also informed them that labourers attending twice daily would receive Rs 370 as wages.
The officer encouraged workers to use their earnings for farming activities and their children’s education. Panchayat officials, technical staff, NAREGA workers, and local employees were present during the inspection and discussion programme.
Officials from both gram panchayats appreciated the visit and said inspections help improve work quality and worker participation in villages. Residents also welcomed the officer’s suggestions, stating that timely wages and proper guidance motivate labourers to complete development works responsibly and efficiently every day.
