Retired teacher celebrated for lifelong educational service

Veteran teacher Ameer Hamza Nadaf was warmly honoured in Koppal for his dedicated service to education and his simple, disciplined lifestyle. Teachers, students, and community members praised his contribution during a special Guru Vandana programme organised by local education groups.

Annapurna Padmasali Banane, associate teacher at the Government Boys Pre-University College High School Department, described Nadaf as a hardworking teacher who earned the trust and affection of generations of students. She said he always encouraged children to study sincerely and become responsible citizens.

In her special poem, she praised the retired teacher’s selfless service and his commitment to guiding young minds. She said his efforts turned schools into joyful places of learning where students felt supported and motivated.

Nadaf also received appreciation for supporting school festivals, exhibitions, and educational programmes that encouraged creativity and confidence among children. Even after retirement, he continues helping students and schools whenever needed.

The retired teacher was earlier honoured with the Kadamba Award by the All Goa Kannada Mahasangh for his service to society and education. During the recent district celebration in Koppal, speakers called him an ideal teacher who promoted sacrifice, kindness, harmony, and peaceful coexistence.

Padmasali wished him continued happiness, good health, and many more years of inspiring young people through his values and dedication.

Many former students attended the function and shared memories of his patient teaching style, friendly nature, and honest guidance, they said Nadaf treated every student equally and inspired many poor children to continue their education.
