HANAGAL

Hanagal MLA Srinivas Mane launched a series of local infrastructure projects in Hotanahalli village, praising the state government’s welfare initiatives. The newly inaugurated projects, valued at Rs. 10 lakh, are funded under the Chief Minister’s Infrastructure Development Programme for the 2025-26 block.

Addressing the gathering, Mane stated that the state’s five guarantee schemes were specially designed to shield poor and middle-class families from the relentless sting of inflation. He pointed out that every single village within the taluk is now receiving unprecedented administrative funding to upgrade basic citizen facilities, marking a major milestone for local rural governance.

Taking a sharp swipe at the opposition, Mane claimed that the BJP initially mocked these welfare guarantees but has since copied them under different names to win elections in other states. He sharply criticized the central government for failing to fulfill its core promises of controlling the rising prices of essential commodities, which he argued has pushed common citizens into severe financial distress.

The groundbreaking ceremony concluded with the MLA promising swift execution of the village road and drainage upgrades. Several prominent regional figures attended the official launch event to show their solidarity, including Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee member Takanagouda Patil, Block Congress President Manju Goranna, and notable local community leaders Shivananda Kadamma, Prakashappa Lakkoli, and Eerappa Bailawala.
