Home Minister Dr. G. Parameshwar said that whenever a party is in power the opposition naturally shows a mood of criticism and disagreement. He said the government accepts such comments as positive criticism and uses them for better governance. Speaking to the media in Tumakuru he said the Congress government is working for pro-people policies and supporting the poor through guarantee schemes. He added that the government has completed three years in power and has implemented all the promised programmes.

He said that in the next two years the focus will be on faster implementation of ongoing schemes. He clarified that the distribution of land titles to 1.50 lakh people is not an anti-people step. He also said there is no intention to force people and no malicious motive behind the programme. On Tumakuru development he said the name of Tumkur will not change and its identity will remain the same. He said the idea is to promote Tumkur as part of Bengaluru to attract more investment and growth. He stated that the government has spent around Rs 2 lakh crore on guarantee schemes for the welfare of the poor farmers and workers.

The statement came during a Congress government event in Tumakuru marking three years in office. At the event development works worth Rs 682 crore were launched and land deeds were distributed. He said the government will continue to focus on development works and welfare programmes to improve the lives of people across Karnataka. He also said that criticism from the opposition is part of democracy and helps the government correct its policies and decisions. The programme was organised in collaboration with the Tumakuru district administration and Zilla Panchayat as part of the three-year celebration of the Congress government.

He urged people to understand government programmes and support development efforts aimed at building a stronger and more prosperous Karnataka in the coming years. He reiterated that there is no hidden agenda in the government’s decisions and all initiatives are designed only for public welfare, transparency, and long-term development across the state of Karnataka.
