The government has launched the Bharat Tex 2026 Event App to enhance AI-driven networking and business matchmaking at India’s flagship global textile event, according to an official statement issued on Wednesday.
The app was launched by Neelam Shami Rao, Secretary of the Ministry of Textiles, and is designed to improve the experience of exhibitors, buyers, international delegates, speakers and visitors participating in the upcoming Bharat Tex 2026 event.
Developed as a digital companion, the platform allows users to access event schedules, discover exhibitors, book meetings, navigate the venue, and receive real-time updates through a single interface. It also supports lead generation and structured networking for business interactions.
A key feature of the app is its AI-powered smart assistant, which provides 24×7 conversational support for attendees. Users can ask queries in simple language and get instant responses on schedules, directions, and event-related information, making navigation easier for both domestic and international participants.
The app also includes QR-based contact exchange tools, allowing exhibitors to scan badges and store participant details for follow-up. Additional features include exhibitor search filters, interactive floor maps of Bharat Mandapam, and access to live sessions and agendas.
Organised by the Bharat Tex Trade Federation in collaboration with 11 export promotion councils and industry bodies, and supported by the Ministry of Textiles, the event follows the government’s 5F vision—Farm to Fibre to Factory to Fashion to Foreign.
Bharat Tex 2026 is scheduled to be held in New Delhi from July 14 to 17 and is expected to attract over 7,000 international buyers and more than 1.3 lakh trade visitors, showcasing India’s textile value chain and export capabilities.
