Addressing reporters after the election results, Sarma said the overwhelming public support had significantly increased the government’s responsibility towards the people of Assam. He stated that the strong mandate reflected public confidence in the work carried out by the government over the past five years and added that the administration would now work with even greater commitment to accelerate development across the state.

According to the Chief Minister, the new government’s vision for Assam would be much larger than the agenda presented during the 2021 Assembly elections. He pointed out that the earlier elections had taken place during the difficult period of the COVID-19 pandemic, which had forced the government to focus on more immediate and limited priorities.

Sarma said the state government now has more experience and confidence after implementing several welfare programmes, infrastructure projects, and investment initiatives during its previous term. He added that the administration intends to use this experience to expand development efforts and deliver more comprehensive results for the people.

The Chief Minister stressed that the BJP-led alliance would focus on converting election promises into practical outcomes while ensuring that development benefits reach all sections of society. He said the government had committed to undertaking more work than during its previous tenure and expressed confidence that those promises would be implemented effectively on the ground.

The Bharatiya Janata Party-led NDA registered a decisive victory in the elections, significantly weakening opposition parties across the state. Political analysts described the result as a major endorsement of the ruling alliance’s governance model and development narrative.

Sarma also highlighted the government’s achievements in sectors such as road infrastructure, healthcare, education, industrial investment, and connectivity. He claimed Assam has witnessed rapid transformation in recent years due to large-scale development projects and improved administrative efficiency.

The Chief Minister said infrastructure expansion and welfare delivery would remain key priorities for the government in its new term. He added that improving employment opportunities, attracting investments, and strengthening public services would also receive major attention.

The NDA government has consistently promoted its record in improving law and order, expanding transport networks, and implementing social welfare schemes as some of its major accomplishments.
