Jewargi MLA and Kalyana Karnataka Region Development Board President Ajay Singh (Dr. Ajay Dharam Singh) criticised the Central Government over rising inflation, unemployment, and economic challenges while speaking to media persons during his visit to Bidar.

He alleged that the prices of petrol, diesel, LPG cylinders, and essential commodities have increased significantly in recent years, placing heavy financial pressure on middle-class families and economically weaker sections. He accused the BJP-led Central Government of focusing more on caste and religious politics instead of prioritising development, job creation, and welfare programmes.

Referring to past election promises, Ajay Singh questioned the Centre’s commitment to creating two crore jobs annually, stating that unemployment continues to remain one of the country’s most serious concerns. He also expressed concern over the handling of farmers’ issues and said that public grievances are not being addressed effectively at the national level.

Speaking on Karnataka’s political situation, he said discussions regarding cabinet reshuffle and leadership matters are ongoing within the Congress party. However, he clarified that final decisions would be taken by the party high command after consultations and upcoming meetings.

Highlighting the state government’s performance, he said the Congress administration has been implementing several welfare guarantee schemes aimed at supporting poor and middle-class families. He added that these programmes are designed to improve living standards and provide economic relief.

Ajay Singh also noted that substantial funds have been allocated for the development of the Kalyana Karnataka region, focusing on sectors such as education, healthcare, irrigation, minority welfare, backward class development, and industrial growth.

Expressing confidence in the state leadership, he said the government would continue to work for inclusive development and create better opportunities for the people of Karnataka.
