Santosh D’Souza Bajpe has been unanimously re-elected as the president of the Catholic Sabha Mangaluru Pradesh (R.) for the 2026–27 term, following the annual election held at the Sabha Bhavan in Mangaluru.
The election process was guided in prayer by Dr. J. B. Saldanha, the central spiritual director of the organization. The entire central committee was elected unopposed, reflecting consensus among members.
Along with Santosh D’Souza as president, the elected office bearers include Steeven Rodrigues Valencia as first vice president, Albert Sunil Monis Belthangady as second vice president, Wilma Monteiro Derebail as general secretary, Tracy Rodrigues Ammembal as joint secretary, Francis Monteiro Mariashram Talapady as treasurer, and Stany Miranda Neerude as joint treasurer.
Former president Nigel Pereira served as the returning officer, while Andrew L. Noronha also assisted in the election process. During the event, Dr J. B. Saldanha was felicitated for completing five years of service as central spiritual director.
Senior leaders and former presidents of the Sabha, including Gerald D’Costa, Lancey D’Cunha, Anil Lobo, Plevi D’Souza, and Stany Lobo, congratulated the newly elected team. The outgoing leadership also appreciated the smooth and unanimous election process.
In his address, Santosh D’Souza expressed gratitude to members for re-electing him for a second term and assured continued commitment to the organization’s service and community work.
