A man was killed in a hit-and-run accident after a speeding vehicle allegedly struck him while he was walking along the roadside in the early hours of Friday. The incident was reported under the Cubbon Park Traffic Police limits. The deceased has been identified as Srinivas. Police said the impact of the collision was severe, resulting in his death on the spot. The driver of the vehicle allegedly fled immediately after the accident without offering assistance to the victim. Police have registered a case under Section 106 of the IPC and launched an investigation. Officials are examining CCTV footage from the area to identify the vehicle and trace the absconding driver.
