The Gadag district administration has announced the distribution of ration food grains for both May and June 2026 under the Central National Food Security Act (NFSA) category through 366 Fair Price Shops across the district.
According to officials, Antyodaya ration card holders will receive 70 kilograms of rice in total, with 35 kilograms allotted for each month. Beneficiaries holding Priority, BPL, state, and central category ration cards will receive 10 kilograms of rice per member, covering both months at five kilograms each month.
District Collector C.N. Sridhar said the food grains are being distributed together during May for the convenience of beneficiaries. He advised all eligible card holders to collect their ration from the Fair Price Shops under their jurisdiction by providing fingerprints separately for both months during distribution.
Officials urged beneficiaries to complete the process within the scheduled period without delay this month.
