A criminal case has been registered against Yelahanka taluk licensed surveyor TKL Prakash and an applicant, Balaram, over alleged illegal encroachment of government land in Kothihosahalli village. According to the Assistant Director of Land Records, Yelahanka taluk, Balaram had sought an immediate survey of 1 acre 19 guntas in Survey No. 13/1. Officials alleged that Prakash conducted the survey despite the presence of a municipal building and playground on the site. Authorities said a 33-gunta civic amenity site had earlier been reserved for a park by the Bangalore Development Authority while approving the layout plan. The land was later leased to the Cooperative City Club for 30 years. A complaint has been filed seeking legal action over the alleged encroachment.
