Mahadevapura police have launched a search for an unidentified youth who allegedly filmed a 23-year-old woman while she was bathing in a rented house in Garudachar Palya. According to the complaint, the incident occurred between 9.30 pm and 9.40 pm on April 29. The woman, a software engineer who moved to the area nine months ago, noticed someone recording her from a nearby building and raised an alarm. The suspect fled with the phone. The victim has expressed fear of the video being circulated online. Police have registered a case, inspected the spot and initiated efforts to trace the accused.
