Rajasthan’s Excise Department has launched a major statewide campaign against illegal liquor activities, registering 633 cases in five days. Under the direction of Excise Commissioner Namit Mehta, enforcement teams acted against the manufacture, storage, transport, and sale of illicit alcohol. Officials arrested 172 people and seized multiple vehicles during raids across districts. Large quantities of country liquor, IMFL, beer, and locally distilled alcohol were confiscated. Authorities also destroyed over 1.4 lakh litres of raw material used in illegal brewing. Officials said coordinated raids and strict monitoring will continue as part of a zero-tolerance approach to stop the trade.
