India-Japan sign pacts on health, quantum tech

India and Japan have signed agreements to enhance cooperation in health research and quantum technologies, strengthening their strategic partnership in science and innovation. The agreements were exchanged during a meeting between Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh and Japan’s Minister for Science and Technology Policy Kimi Onoda in New Delhi. A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed among Indian Council of Medical Research, Department of Science and Technology (India) and Japan’s AMED for health and medical devices. A Letter of Intent was also signed between Japan’s Cabinet Office and DST on quantum science and technology. Both sides aim to boost joint research, innovation, and technology development in emerging fields.
