A new international education consultancy, Global Degrees Mangaluru, was officially launched in Mangaluru, aiming to help students explore and access global academic opportunities. The inauguration ceremony, held at A J Grand Hotel, saw participation from academicians and members of the education community.
The event’s chief guest, Dr. Praveen Martis, vice chancellor of St Aloysius Deemed to be University, described the initiative as a significant milestone. Guests of honour included Dr Rosna Nazareth and Dr. Harish H K.
In his address, Dr. Praveen Martis highlighted the growing interest among students in overseas education, noting that global exposure and cultural experiences are essential aspects of learning today. He also stressed that navigating processes such as visas and admissions can be complex, making expert guidance crucial.
The consultancy has partnered with over 500 international institutions, offering opportunities across countries including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Germany, Ireland, France, Japan, and others. It provides comprehensive services such as career counselling, university selection, application support, test preparation, scholarship guidance, visa processing, and education loan assistance.
Co-founder Shijomon Yesudhas shared the vision of enabling students to achieve their global aspirations with the right guidance, while co-founder Deepa Prabhu and team members Sreeja and Shilpa were also introduced.
Operating under SDS 360 LLP, the consultancy is based at Manasa Towers on MG Road, Mangaluru, with additional services extended to Manipal. The initiative aims to become a reliable partner for students seeking structured support and international career pathways.
