A rat snake was rescued from a house in Adoor after it was found with a gold ring tightly stuck around its body inside a table drawer. Children noticed the snake while opening the drawer at Ravi’s home and alerted adults. The forest department team arrived quickly and carefully removed the reptile, cutting the ring without harming it. Officials suspect the snake entered searching for food and got trapped accidentally. The snake was later released safely into the wild. The unusual incident surprised residents and highlighted the need for caution in handling closed household spaces carefully always.
