Seventeen passengers had a narrow escape when a KSRTC Pallakki bus caught fire near Devarudda village in Ranebennur taluk. Driver Pakkirappa acted quickly and stopped the bus after seeing flames and ensured all passengers got down safely. The bus was travelling from Bengaluru to Gadag and was completely destroyed in the fire. Ranebennur Rural police visited the spot and have registered a case for investigation. No injuries were reported as swift action by the driver saved all lives, and further inquiry is underway into the cause of the blaze. officials continue detailed investigation process.
