India’s Nurjahan Noorali, supported by Adani Sportsline, is competing across Europe and Asia to secure a top-six continental ranking for the 2026 Asian Para Games
AHMEDABAD
India’s top-ranked para table tennis star, Nurjahan Noorali, has embarked on a vital international tour across Europe and Asia. Supported by Adani Sportsline, the Ahmedabad-based athlete is competing in four major tournaments to secure her spot for the 2026 Asian Para Games in Japan this October.
Currently ranked World No. 27 and eighth in Asia, Noorali needs to break into the continent’s top six to qualify. Her journey began recently in Montenegro and continues in Slovenia. This high-stakes campaign is the latest chapter in a remarkable comeback story. After being diagnosed with polio at age five, Noorali returned to the sport in 2022 and has rapidly climbed the rankings, recently defending her national title in Indore.
Balancing a professional career as a junior officer at Adani Airport Holdings, Noorali credited her employer for providing the flexibility needed to train. Her preparation is backed by a structured program that offers coaching, performance monitoring, and financial aid for global events.
“This phase is crucial,” Noorali stated, expressing her determination to reach the top six. Her resilience has earned high praise from leadership at Adani Enterprises, who highlighted her grit and discipline as a model for emerging athletes. As she moves through the elite circuit in Slovenia and Taiwan this month, the focus remains clear: turning years of hard work into a historic qualification for her country on the world stage.
