Forest Minister Eshwar Khandre visited Basavakalyan to inspect the massive construction of the new Anubhava Mantapa. During his visit, the Minister offered prayers at the site of the world’s tallest “Ishtalinga,” a 55-meter structure that stands as the centerpiece of the project.

Minister Khandre highlighted that this site is being built to honor the philosophy of Basavanna, who introduced early democracy to the world. A unique feature of the building includes 770 pillars, each carved with the sayings of ancient thinkers. To blend tradition with modern needs, the complex will also house a science-backed training center for mental well-being and a “Sharana Gram” to showcase historical values.

Beyond its spiritual importance, the project aims to help local youth. The Minister announced plans for skill development centers to provide vocational training, reminding everyone that “work is worship” and no job is inferior. He also confirmed that money is not an issue, noting that $₹$480 crore has already been spent, with more funds on the way from Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

The Minister has instructed contractors to speed up their work to finish on time. Once complete, the Anubhava Mantapa is expected to be a major landmark for both history and technology. Local leaders and officials joined the Minister during the inspection, expressing confidence that the project will soon become a global center for learning and peace.
