Residents along Holiday Village Road in Mallasandra, off Kanakapura Road, say newly repaired stretches have led to fresh issues, with footpaths now encroached by street vendors. Though the 2.5-km road improvement has eased travel, locals complain that tea stalls and fast-food vendors have occupied pedestrian space, forcing people onto the road. Vehicles parked near these stalls have further slowed traffic movement. Residents allege that despite multiple complaints since February, authorities have not acted. A complaint has also been filed with the Lokayukta against civic officials, accusing them of failing to clear the encroachments.
