A special Lok Adalat named Samadana Samaroh-2026 will be held on August 21, 22 and 23 to settle pending cases through compromise. Senior Civil Judge Srishailaja said 4,328 cases have been identified statewide for settlement, including 81 in Haveri district. Cases include banking, insurance, motor accident claims, consumer disputes, criminal, family, labour and industrial matters. Citizens can register through Taluka Legal Services Committees or the District Legal Services Authority. Officials said the aim is quick and friendly settlement of disputes. Awareness programmes were also discussed through video conference with legal authorities across Karnataka this year planned.
