Rajinikanth Temple Celebrates Labour Day With Baashha Theme Tribute

A temple dedicated to superstar Rajinikanth celebrated International Workers’ Day with special prayers and rituals honouring workers and labourers. The event took place at the Arulmigu Sri Rajini Temple, where many devotees gathered to mark the occasion and pray for the well-being of working people across the country.

The temple was founded by a devoted fan named Karthik and contains two black stone idols of Rajinikanth. Daily poojas are regularly conducted at the temple every morning and evening. During this year’s Labour Day celebrations, the temple created a special setup inspired by Rajinikanth’s famous role as an auto driver in the film Baashha.

A large cutout of Rajinikanth from the movie was displayed beside an auto-rickshaw to represent the hard work and dignity of labourers. Temple authorities also arranged work tools creatively to spread Labour Day messages.

Special abhishekam rituals were performed using sixteen sacred items, including milk, curd, rose water and tender coconut. Devotees later took part in deeparadhana and prayed for workers’ health, prosperity and success. Sweets were also distributed to labourers who attended the event.

Speaking during the celebration, Karthik said the programme was inspired by Rajinikanth’s own journey from a daily wage worker and bus conductor to becoming a globally admired film star. He added that several of the actor’s films, including Mannan, Uzhaippali and Baashha, highlight the struggles of ordinary working people.

Karthik also said the temple regularly conducts free food distribution and charity activities in Rajinikanth’s name while continuing to honour workers as the backbone of the nation’s progress and development.
