AI and style shape India’s smartphone choices

A new report by Flipkart and Counterpoint Research shows that Indian smartphone buyers now value style and artificial intelligence features more than ever. Around 64 percent prefer colourful designs and are willing to pay extra for looks. At the same time, 89 percent say AI features influence their purchase decisions. Consumers also focus on better cameras, battery life, and performance. While price remains important, many buyers are choosing higher-end devices through easy payment options. The report highlights a shift toward thoughtful buying, with users keeping phones longer and expecting better overall experience.
