Basava Jayanti celebrations will be held on May 3 at Honundike in Goluru Hobali of Tumakuru taluk, organized by Shree Basava Jayanti Acharana Samiti. The event will see the divine presence of several seers including Sri Shivratri Desikendra Swamiji of Vira Simhasana Sansthan Math, Sri Shivasiddheshwara Swamiji of Siddaganga Math, and Sri Immadi Basavaraja Swamiji of Gosala Channabasaveshwara Gadige Math. Rural MLA B. Suresh Gowda will officiate the programme. Ministers V. Somanna, former CM Basavaraja Bommai, and MLA G.B. Jyotiganesh will attend. Vishwas of Vishwas Jewellers will receive the Kayakashree award. Organizers urged public participation in large numbers event success.
