Defence Minister Rajnath Singh paid tribute to fallen heroes by laying a wreath at Victory Square in Kyrgyzstan’s capital. The visit marks the start of his official engagements during the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation defence ministers’ meeting. Leaders will discuss regional security, counter-terrorism, and global peace amid ongoing tensions in West Asia. Singh said India remains committed to peace and has zero tolerance for terrorism. He also received a traditional welcome on arrival. The minister is expected to hold bilateral talks with counterparts from member nations. India continues to play an active role in the organisation since joining.
