Tensions escalated in Ballari district as farmers and members of Raitha organizations staged a protest near Kudithini in Sandur taluk, demanding the return of land allegedly acquired by a private company at low rates. The demonstration led to police intervention, with several protesters being taken into custody. The protest was organized by farmers and activists who have been raising concerns over land transactions involving a private industrial group in Kudithini, near Kurugodu. According to the protesters, large tracts of land were purchased from farmers at significantly low prices under the development framework of the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board.
