More than 20 people were injured when a private bus overturned at the fourth curve of Charmadi Ghat. The bus was travelling from Ujire to Kottigehara when the driver reportedly lost control at a sharp bend, causing it to flip. Most passengers were from Andhra Pradesh and Pavagada in Tumakuru district and were returning after attending a wedding. Locals rushed to help and rescued the injured. Victims were taken to nearby hospitals and Wenlock Hospital in Mangaluru for treatment. Police visited the spot, inspected the scene, and registered a case for investigation.
