The inaugural Nitte Vinaya Hegde Oration will be held on April 28 at the K S Hegde Auditorium in Deralakatte, Mangaluru, under Nitte University. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will deliver the keynote address on “Viksit Bharat – Vision for 2047,” focusing on India’s long-term development roadmap, economic transformation, and governance reforms aimed at making India a developed nation by 2047. The event, instituted in memory of Justice K S Hegde, aims to promote dialogue on national development among policymakers, academicians, and public leaders. The programme will be presided over by Justice N Santosh Hegde, with participation from Karnataka Assembly Speaker U.T. Khader, MP Capt Brijesh Chowta, and Nitte University leadership.
