HAVERI A free eye check-up and surgery camp was organised at Hukkeri Math in Haveri city with the joint efforts of several organisations, including Kanchikamakoti Medical Trust, Shankara Eye Hospital Shivamogga, Lions Club Haveri, District Blindness Prevention Institute, District Health and Family Welfare Department, and District Hospital authorities. Around 150 to 200 people participated in the camp and received eye screening services. Along with the medical camp, the District Legal Services Authority distributed awareness materials on the National Lok Adalat, POCSO Act, child marriage prevention, dowry prohibition, and senior citizens’ rights. Several health professionals, social workers, and Lions Club members took part in the programme.
