In a major breakthrough, police in Vijayapura have arrested six accused in connection with the shocking murder of real estate businessman and former gram panchayat member Raju Khare. The gruesome killing, reportedly linked to a property dispute, had sent shockwaves across the district. The incident took place near the industrial area on the outskirts of Vijayapura, close to Aliabad. According to police investigations, Raju Khare (48), a resident of Godandoddi village, was targeted while he was driving his vehicle. The attackers initially rammed his car using a tipper truck, forcing it to stop. They then opened fire on the vehicle before assaulting him further by pelting stones, leading to his death on the spot. The brutal nature of the crime had created widespread panic and outrage among locals.
