Railway Protection Force (RPF) foiled a robbery attempt on the Siddheshwar Express and arrested nine women suspects during a coordinated operation, officials said. The action followed suspicious movement noticed at Kurduwadi station, after which alerts were issued across the railway network. The suspects were later tracked and intercepted on board the train with assistance from escort staff and surveillance teams. All accused, aged between 18 and 40 years and hailing from Dharashiv district, were taken into custody at Solapur station. They were handed over to the Government Railway Police at Kurduwadi for further investigation. A case has been registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and authorities are verifying their possible involvement in earlier offences.
