A well-organized and insightful workshop on the Workers India Federation was held on April 21, at the CODP Centre near Padua College in Kadri Hills, Mangaluru. The programme was jointly organized by the Karnataka Region Labour Commission and the diocese of Mangalore labour commission, drawing participants interested in labour welfare and community development. The session featured distinguished resource persons, including Fr Victor, regional secretary of the Labour Commission and director of the Workers India Federation (Karnataka Region), and Sebastian, vice president of the Workers India Federation, New Delhi. Both speakers provided in-depth insights into the mission, organizational framework, and outreach of the federation, emphasizing its role in advocating for workers’ rights and welfare.
