Additional Deputy Commissioner Dr. Audram has directed officials to ensure the smooth and error-free conduct of the Common Entrance Test (CET) examinations for the year 2026, scheduled to be held from April 22 to 24 across the district.
Chairing a preparatory meeting at the District Collector’s office hall on Saturday, he emphasized strict adherence to examination rules and precautionary measures by all appointed officials.
The CET exams will be conducted in two sessions across 30 examination centres in the district, with a total of 13,359 candidates registered. Officials have been instructed to carry out their responsibilities diligently to avoid any lapses during the examination process.
A total of 30 observers have been appointed, one for each centre. All observers have been directed to report at their respective centres at least one hour before the commencement of the examination. Each centre will also have a Deputy Chief Superintendent, a Question Paper Custodian, and a Special Vigilance Squad member.
To maintain discipline and prevent malpractice, a 200-meter radius around each examination centre has been declared a prohibited zone. Adequate police bandobast and security arrangements have also been ordered as a precautionary measure.
Additional Superintendent of Police Ramanagouda Hatti, Deputy Director of Pre-University Education Chandrashekhar Hosamani, along with other officials, observers, and staff assigned to exam duties, were present at the meeting.
