The government said over 17.25 lakh small 5 kg LPG cylinders have been sold since March 23, boosting access to cooking fuel. The move mainly supports migrant workers and low-income groups. Supply of these smaller cylinders has also been doubled in recent weeks. Officials said there is no shortage, with full supply of LPG, PNG, and CNG being maintained across the country. Awareness camps and strict checks have increased availability and reduced misuse. Authorities added that fuel supply remains stable, while port operations continue normally despite global tensions and ongoing monitoring.
