Dr. H. C. Mahadevappa announced an Ambedkar theme park in Mysuru on 10 acres, showcasing his life, Constitution, and social justice contributions

Social Welfare and district in-charge Minister Dr. H. C. Mahadevappa said a theme park will be built at Ilawala hobli in Mysuru to showcase the life, struggle and ideas of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. He said 10 acres of land has been reserved for the project and officials have been told to prepare DPR and blueprints with required funds. He added that the park should explain Ambedkar’s struggle Constitution making and social justice ideas in simple language for common people.
He instructed that events from Ambedkar’s life from birth to death along with contributions of Sahu Maharaja and Nalvadi Krishnaraja Wodeyar should also be included. He said Mysuru is a tourist city and the park should attract visitors with innovative design and meaningful displays. He said citizens should remember Dr. Ambedkar before using their constitutional rights and appreciate the Constitution given by him.
Officials including Deputy Commissioner G. Laxmikant Reddy, Zilla Panchayat CEO S. Yukesh Kumar, Mysore Corporation Commissioner Sheikh Tanveer Asif and MDA Commissioner K. R. Rakshit attended the meeting. The officials discussed ways to collect suggestions from experts and public representatives to improve the museum content and ensure that the theme park becomes an important educational and tourist destination in Mysuru district. It was decided that the project will be completed with proper planning, timely funding and coordination between departments so that it reflects the values of equality, justice and awareness inspired by Dr. Ambedkar’s vision for society.
Officials said the theme park will stand as a lasting tribute to Ambedkar and help future generations understand constitutional values and social reform ideas clearly in simple meaningful way always
