A tragic road accident claimed the life of a bike rider following a collision between a car and a motorcycle near Dubalgundi Cross on National Highway 50. The deceased has been identified as Rafiq Tambole, a resident of Hallikhed (B) town. According to reports, the accident occurred when the bike and the car collided head-on, resulting in the rider’s death on the spot. Several others sustained injuries in the incident.
It is reported that MLA Dr. Siddu Patil was passing through the same route at the time of the accident. He immediately stepped in to assist and helped shift the injured to a nearby hospital for treatment. The accident took place under the jurisdiction of the Humnabad Traffic Police Station. Police have registered a case and further investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident
