Massive king cobra rescued in Uttara Kannada

Karwar
A huge king cobra, nearly 15 feet long, was rescued from a garden in Yelavalli village of Kumta taluk in Uttara Kannada district. The snake had swallowed another smaller snake after a fight and stayed in the garden for about five days, creating fear among locals and stopping all work. Reptile rescuer Pawan Naik safely captured the cobra and released it into a nearby forest with help from the forest department. This marked his 100th rescue in 16 years. Officials said the timely action ensured safety for both people and the snake.
