Christians in Mangaluru observed Good Friday with prayers and rituals to remember the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Churches across the city held special programs, including the Way of the Cross, which depicts 14 key events from Jesus’ sentencing to his burial. Hundreds of devotees participated in the Stations of the Cross at Milagris Church. The service was led by Fr. Bonaventure Nazareth, assisted by Fr. Avith Poys. Officials said the day was marked by solemn prayers, reflection, and community participation, emphasizing faith and devotion. The programs began early morning and continued throughout the day, drawing large gatherings of worshippers.
