Workers alleged that they had not been paid salaries for the past four to five months, pushing their families into financial hardship. Many are now unable to pay school and college fees for their children and are struggling to meet basic needs.
Serious Violations Alleged
The workers have also raised serious allegations against the company management, claiming that since its inception, the company failed to provide statutory benefits such as Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) and bonuses. They further alleged that despite receiving substantial government subsidies, the company neglected workers’ welfare and resorted to unfair practices.
Minister Assures Action
After hearing the grievances, Labour Minister Santosh Lad immediately contacted the Labour Commissioner over the phone and sought details of the case. He directed officials to take strict action against the company for violating labour laws and instructed them to register a case without delay. Several leaders, including Hanumanth Gouri, Anawar Daulappa Chimmayidalai and Siddappa Keshwar, were present during the meeting.The incident has raised serious concerns over labour rights enforcement and the accountability of private companies operating with government support.
