The incident occurred in Bettenahalli village, where annaprasada (community meal) was organized as part of the Sri Ram Navami festivities. A large number of villagers had gathered to participate in the celebrations and consume the prasada offered during the religious event. Shortly after consuming the food, several people began experiencing symptoms of illness, including nausea, vomiting, and general discomfort. As the number of affected individuals increased rapidly, panic spread across the village. According to initial reports, over 200 villagers were impacted by the suspected food contamination.
