Nigerian national arrested for peddling drugs

Yelahanka Newtown police have arrested a foreigner who had come to India on a business visa and was selling narcotics in Bengaluru. The arrested suspect, Samuel Ikkena from Nigeria, was arrested and 2 kg of MDM crystal, worth about Rs 2 crore in the international market, was seized from him, police said. Samuel, who came to India in 2012, initially traded clothes in Delhi and Mumbai. Police said he came to Bengaluru last year and started selling drugs under the guise of selling clothes on Bannerghatta Road. A case has been registered against him at the Yelahanka Newtown police station under the NDPS Act. The police said that they are investigating from where such a large quantity of narcotics was supplied to the accused.
