WASHINGTON
A high-profile US Congressman has sent a powerful request to King Charles III ahead of his historic visit to America.
Representative Ro Khanna is urging the British monarch to sit down with survivors of the Jeffrey Epstein abuse scandal. The meeting would take place during the King’s expected trip to address a joint meeting of Congress in late April.
Khanna, who is a leading voice for transparency in the Epstein files, believes this meeting is a vital step toward justice. He argues that hearing the stories of these survivors directly is the only way to hold a powerful global network accountable. The Congressman pointed out that the scandal isn’t just an American issue; Epstein’s deep ties to British figures and institutions have raised serious questions about whether public trust was misused to hide wrongdoing.
The letter also highlights the frustration of US officials who have tried to get answers from UK figures like Prince Andrew and Peter Mandelson. Both have so far avoided testifying or cooperating with congressional inquiries. Khanna believes that if King Charles meets the victims, it would send a strong message of “transparency and seriousness.”
By making this request, Khanna hopes the King will use his influence to help uncover the truth. He noted that the King himself has previously called for a “full and fair” investigation. Meeting the survivors would show the world that even the most powerful institutions are willing to listen to those they failed in the past.
