The Indian Navy’s guided missile frigate, INS Trikand, wrapped up its three-day visit to Maputo, Mozambique, on March 29. During the stay, the ship conducted joint exercises, training, and professional exchanges with the Mozambique Navy, boosting maritime cooperation. India also delivered HADR relief supplies and ran a medical camp at the Mozambique Navy Hospital, attended by top officials including Health Minister Dr. Ussene Hilario Isse. Captain Sachin Kulkarni met the Indian High Commissioner. On departure, the ship carried out EEZ patrols with Mozambican personnel onboard. This visit highlights India’s commitment to regional security and partnership in the Indian Ocean.
