Ride-hailing company Grab will increase its fuel surcharge to SGD 0.90 per trip from April 7 to May 31, citing rising global fuel prices. The move comes as oil costs remain unstable due to ongoing geopolitical tensions, impacting transport services across the region. The surcharge is meant to help drivers cope with higher operating expenses. Earlier, the company had also introduced incentives and fuel support measures for drivers. Industry observers say such steps are becoming common as transport firms adjust to fluctuating energy prices, which continue to affect fares and overall commuting costs in Singapore.
