A group of youths allegedly assaulted a security guard and a hotel staff member at a popular hotel in Ballari following a dispute over a delayed food order.
The incident took place at Pista House Hotel in Ballari around 11:20 pm, creating tension in the area and raising concerns over public safety. According to reports, the altercation began when a customer, identified as Sahir, had placed a food parcel order at approximately 10:30 pm. The delay in handing over the parcel reportedly led to an argument between the customer and hotel staff.
As the situation escalated, a group of youths accompanying the customer allegedly became aggressive. In an attempt to intervene and bring the situation under control, a security guard named Mallikarjuna stepped in. However, he was reportedly attacked by the group, along with a hotel staff member, leading to a violent scuffle at the premises.
Eyewitnesses stated that the group physically assaulted both the security guard and the staff member, causing injuries and panic among others present at the hotel. The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras installed at the location, providing crucial evidence for the investigation.
Following the incident, a complaint was filed, and the police registered a case against six individuals in connection with the assault. Among those named in the case are Sahir and Mehboob. An FIR has been registered at the Ballari Kaulabazar Police Station.
Police officials have launched an investigation and are in the process of tracing and arresting the accused. Authorities have assured that strict action will be taken against those involved in the assault.
The incident has once again highlighted the importance of maintaining public discipline and resolving disputes peacefully. Local residents and business owners have called for stronger enforcement of law and order to prevent such incidents in the future.
