The Shirahatti Town Panchayat has invited objections and suggestions from the public regarding proposed land allocations for civic and institutional purposes, giving citizens 30 days to respond. According to an official notification issued by the Department of Information and Public Relations, the Shirahatti Town Panchayat has proposed the allocation of certain plots reserved for public utility within its jurisdiction. The proposals were discussed and approved during a municipal meeting held on March 17, 2026, in the presence of administrative officials and elected representatives.
One of the proposed allocations involves a site located in Ward No. 3, measuring 30 x 40 meters, which has been earmarked for civic amenities. The land is intended to be allotted for the construction of a building for a working journalists’ association. Authorities stated that this initiative aims to support institutional development and provide necessary infrastructure for professional bodies.
Another proposal pertains to a larger plot located in Ward No. 16, measuring approximately 621 square meters. This land has been identified for allocation to an organization engaged in social service, education, and skill development activities. Officials highlighted that the proposed use of the land aligns with the broader objective of promoting community welfare and capacity-building initiatives in the region.
The town panchayat clarified that both allocations are subject to public scrutiny as part of a transparent governance process. Citizens, stakeholders, and concerned individuals have been invited to submit their objections or suggestions in writing within 30 days from the date of publication of the notice.
Officials further stated that any objections received after the stipulated deadline will not be considered. Interested individuals can submit their responses to the office of the Shirahatti Town Panchayat, where additional details regarding the proposals are also available for review.
The authorities emphasized that public participation is essential in ensuring accountability and informed decision-making. They urged residents to actively engage in the process and provide their feedback within the given timeframe.
