DMK leader and Minister KN Nehru filed his nomination from Tiruchirappalli West on the first day of nominations for the Tamil Nadu elections. He submitted the papers to Returning Officer Thavavalavan at the Revenue Divisional Office. Nehru received a warm welcome from party workers, with several leaders and allies accompanying him. Speaking to reporters, he said anyone can contest from any constituency, referring to TVK chief Vijay. He also expressed confidence that people will support Chief Minister MK Stalin in the elections.
