Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday inaugurated a National Flag Memorial and participated in the ‘Mukhya Sevak Samvad’ programme in Champawat.
He hoisted the Tricolour, joined citizens in singing the national anthem, and paid tribute to freedom fighters.
A large number of residents and BJP workers attended the event. The Chief Minister interacted with people from different sections of society, listening to their views and suggestions during the Samvad programme.
Earlier, Dhami travelled from Kashipur to Khatima by road, receiving a warm welcome at several places. Crowds gathered along the route in towns including Kashipur, Bajpur, Gadarpur, Rudrapur, Dineshpur, Kichha, and Sitarganj. People greeted him with flowers and enthusiastic support.
During his visit, the Chief Minister also offered prayers at the Mata Bal Sundari Temple. He prayed for the happiness, prosperity, and development of the state. He announced financial support from the Chaiti Mela fund for the beautification of the temple and development of surrounding areas.
Dhami also inaugurated a bhajan programme at the temple premises by lighting a ceremonial lamp. He said the government is committed to preserving cultural heritage while ensuring overall development across Uttarakhand.
Officials said the initiatives aim to strengthen public engagement and promote development in the region.
