Haveri
Amid the ongoing shortage of LPG cylinders, a resident of Haveri has turned to an eco-friendly solution by reviving his biogas plant to meet household cooking needs. The move highlights the growing relevance of sustainable energy alternatives in times of fuel scarcity. Srinivas, a resident of Rajendranagar in Haveri, has decided to restart his biogas plant, which he had set up several years ago. Faced with difficulties in accessing regular LPG cylinder supplies, he chose to rely on a renewable and environmentally friendly option to ensure uninterrupted cooking fuel for his household. The biogas plant, installed at a cost of around Rs 15,000 approximately four years ago, utilizes household waste such as dry waste, wet waste, and vegetable scraps to produce gas.
